The surface of steel materials used for pressure processing shall be free of crack, scar, folding or sundry matters. In case of any above mentioned indications,they should be eliminated thoroughly. The depth for elimination should be not more than 1/2 allowance of steel size from the actual size of the steel materials. The width should be 5 times less than the depth. There should be at most one maximum elimination depth in the same cross-section. It is permitted to have small flaws, indentations, pock marks whose actual size do not exceed half of the allowance error or cracks whose depth do not exceed 0.2mm.
